Computer vision. The words conjure images of robots with eyes that see not computer analysis of imaging data, but in simple terms that I understand that’s what Tracy’s working on. What’s the best way to destroy a tumor? Target it and only it and exactly it with radiation so that every bit of the tumor can be killed while leaving all surrounding tissue undamaged. Now THAT is an important computer vision challenge and Tracy’s work is targeted at making this possible.
